What is the PTA Board and what do you have to
do to be on it?
The board members attend a monthly meeting (usually during the
school day) and an annual PTA convention for two days in the Spring.
It is made up of an executive board (President, VPs, Treasurer, and
Secretary), committee chairs and members. The executive board basically
takes care of doing all the stuff that keeps the PTA legal and in good standing.
The committees are usually in charge of specific events throughout
the year. All you have to do is volunteer! You can help as much as you are
able and can always count on other PTA members to help. We hold our meetings
the first Thursday of every month at 10:00. We would love to have you join us!
We usually meet in the extra 4th grade room, but check in with the office when
you arrive and they can lead you in the right direction.
